Stripped of tired case studies and presentations on the latest company share price, the Biorbis Advancing Protein Therapeutics event will focus on robust science, and address high opportunity areas and challenges around developing better protein drugs.
Designed by the likes of MedImmune, Amgen, Johnson & Johnson, Biogen Idec, GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol-Myers Squibb and a host of other leading big pharma and innovative biotechs, Advancing Protein Therapeutics will address a number of key areas with a frankness and sincerity that you won't find elsewhere.
What's on the Agenda?
The key areas being addressed focus on;
Improving the PK/PD of Protein Therapeutics through Effective Protein Engineering
Looking specifically at PEGylation, binding serum proteins, PASylation and Fc-fusions to improve therapeutics characteristics.
Producing Proteins for use in Therapeutic Applications
Novel gene expression techniques examining aspects of transient production in mammalian cells, chemical synthesis of peptides and viral gene delivery systems.
Optimising Efficacy, Minimizing Compromise
Examining novel formatting options in the development of protein therapeutics as well as developing alternative delivery methods.
Expanding the Alternative Scaffold Portfolio
Describing the challenges and applications of fc-fusion proteins and alternative antibody formats.
Advancing Multivalent Protein Therapeutics
Explore the benefits of bispecific antibodies and trispecific protein drugs
Targeting Less Accessible Antigens
See how GPCRs and ion channels are being developed as targets for biologics and how alternative scaffolds are targeting the area's antibodies can't go.
Enhancing Drug-like Qualities
Removing immunogenic moieties and developing formatting flexibility.
Why attend?
- Meet innovative scientists and research leaders from big pharma, large biotech and smaller innovative biotechs, and understand how they are meeting the challenges associated with developing more effective protein therapeutics.
- Leave the meeting with a surplus of new ideas and contacts to take back to your organization.
- The Biorbis Advancing Protein Therapeutics meeting focuses on delivering practical value, accelerating the field and helping to grow your business and/or research...
Background
The use of protein therapeutics has increased dramatically over the last ten to twenty years, but their role in medicine is still only in its infancy. There are so many opportunities within this field to enhance drug performance, overcome previously insurmountable hurdles and deliver better drugs to patients in a host of different therapeutic areas.
Advancing Protein Therapeutics focuses on exploiting new technologies, methodologies and know-how from within big pharma and biotech organisations to bring innovative new protein therapeutics to patients.
